Confined to My Castle
The dungeon's dampness/mouldy air/mustiness pressed against me, a constant reminder of my imprisonment/confinement/captivity. Walls Close In: A Home Confinement Story
The walls of my home were always like a haven. Now they constrict, a constant indication of my restricted life. Days run into each other, marked only by the chime of the timepiece and the dull ache in my chest. Every sound from outside is a painful echo of what I miss.
I drift through these unbearable rooms, hoping for some glimpse of hope. The beams that once fell across my floor now seem cold, and the silence is heavy.

- Other times, I'm lost in memories
Surviving on Lockdown
Life as we experienced it has drastically altered. The world past our doors is a shadow of its former self. We are now confined within the boundaries of our homes, forced to conform to a new normal. The days blend, marked by the cycle of online meetings, consuming media, and eating. We yearn for the simple joys that were once assumed for granted: a walk in the park, a coffee with friends, or even just a conversation without a screen separating us.
This new world has brought challenges, but it has also unveiled unexpected capacities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more resourceful, and more thankful home arrest for the little things in life. As we navigate this new territory, we must keep hopeful that brighter days are near.
Six Feet From Freedom
Life behind bars is a difficult reality. Every day, you face limitations that feel like an unbreakable barrier. The world outside seems so close, yet it's separated by just a mere six feet.
Sometimes, the pressure of those bars feels suffocating. You desire freedom with every fiber of your being. Each new day serves as a constant echo that you're trapped.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a spark of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be liberated. That day might seem distant, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Chains of Liberty
The allure for freedom can be a powerful force. Yet, paradoxically, it can even lead to imprisonment. This manifests when the very notion with freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a weapon for control and suppression.
Genuine freedom entails not only the absence of external constraints but also the nurturing of internal strength. When this inner core is lacking, even in a society that celebrates freedom, individuals can find themselves ensnared within the restrictions of their own beliefs.
Ultimately, the true measure with freedom lies in our ability to liberate ourselves the constraints that restrict our potential, both externally and internally.
